For this second year university project we were given the task of designing and producing a book based on the story of 'The Metamorphosis' by Franz Kafka in groups, I had the task of designing the end of the book. The book is about a salesman called Gregor who wakes up to find that he has turned in to a gigantic bug.  Our group chose to represent this change within the layout designs through the use of cell shapes, decreasing in numbers as the story progressed, and bugs, increasing in numbers as the story progressed, symbolising Gregor becoming less human and more bug-like.
